Cleaning LinnStrument's Silicone Touch Surface

If LinnStrument's touch surface gets dirty, it's easy to clean:

1) For removing small amounts of dust between the pads, a small hand-held vacuum cleaner works well.

2) For deeper cleaning between the pads, use a toothbrush with a little soapy water on it, but be careful to keep water away from the tiny venting holes (so that water doesn't get under the touch surface) or the edges under the metal plate (so that water doesn't seep under the metal top panel).

3) For the most thorough cleaning, remove the top panel and the silicone rubber sheet. Wash it with soapy water, using a toothbrush to clean between the pads. Then dry it, replace it and reassemble your LinnStrument. Here's a video showing how to remove and replace your top panel. Follow the example in the video, but also remove the rubber sheet, then clean and replace it before reassembling:

When reassembling, don't under- or over-tighten the panels screws. Here's how to achieve the correct tightness:

While pressing with one hand on the top panel near the screw, turn the screwdriver clockwise with your other hand until the screw head is level with the top panel. Then tighten an additional 1/4 turn only and no more.
